Beachside or Pacifica? Choosing Between Our Two Huntington Beach Offices

Educational content; not a substitute for an exam. Not yet clinically reviewed.

A quiet beach-town street with palm trees and the ocean in the distance.

Choose Beachside Dental Group if you need anything on the wider end of dentistry: emergency care, root canals, crowns, bridges, dentures, gum treatment, braces, or full-arch implants. Choose Pacifica Dental if you want a family practice for cleanings, exams, cosmetic work, Invisalign, implants, sedation, and children's visits. The two offices share one building at 18800 Main St in Huntington Beach, each in its own suite, with its own phone line, its own team, and its own membership plan. Neither is the better office. They publish different treatment menus, and that is the fact that decides most cases.

Why there are two offices in one building

Complete Dental Centers is one group made up of four separately operated practices. Two of them, Beachside and Pacifica, sit in the same medical building on Main St. Each keeps its own records, phone line, staff, financing partners, and plan pricing. That independence is why this article compares them instead of blending them. The other two offices are in Marina del Rey and Downey.

Start with the treatment menu

What Beachside lists

Beachside's published list covers the full width of the group's services: general dentistry and cleanings, fillings, family and pediatric care, gum disease treatment, crowns, bridges, dentures, root canal therapy, dental implants and All-on-4, cosmetic dentistry, veneers, whitening, smile makeovers, Invisalign, orthodontics, sedation, and emergency care.

What Pacifica lists

Pacifica's published list is shorter: general dentistry, cleanings and exams, dental implants, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, veneers, teeth whitening, sedation, family dentistry, and pediatric dentistry. It does not list emergency care, root canals, crowns, bridges, dentures, gum treatment, braces, All-on-4, or smile makeovers.

So the first question is simple. Is the care you need on Pacifica's list? If yes, either office works, and the choice comes down to the items below. If no, Beachside is the office to call.

Four cases that settle it

  • A toothache, swelling, or a broken tooth. Beachside lists emergency care. Pacifica does not. Call Beachside and describe what is happening.
  • A crown, bridge, root canal, or denture. Beachside. Pacifica does not list restorative treatment.
  • Braces rather than aligners, or a full-arch implant plan. Beachside lists orthodontics and All-on-4. Pacifica lists Invisalign and dental implants.
  • A cleaning, a child's checkup, whitening, veneers, Invisalign, or an implant consultation. Both offices list these. Pick by the plan details and the people, below.

The membership plans are different plans

Each office sells its own in-office membership plan, and the two are not the same product. The tiers, the number of cleanings included, and the discounts differ. A Beachside plan applies at Beachside. A Pacifica plan applies at Pacifica. Neither is dental insurance. If you intend to pay for routine care through a membership, read both plans on the membership page before you choose the office. The plan follows the office, not the group.

Financing and insurance are set per office

Financing partners are also chosen per office. Both offices work with third-party lenders, subject to credit approval, but the rosters are not identical. The financing page lists each office's partners. Insurance works the same way. Each office checks coverage on its own, and neither publishes a carrier list on this site. Call the office you are leaning toward and ask the front desk to check your plan before the first visit.

What the two offices have in common

Both belong to Complete Dental Centers, the group founded by Dr. Sameer Aljanedi, DDS. Both list general dentistry, cleanings and exams, family and pediatric care, dental implants, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, veneers, whitening, and sedation. Both publish their own websites, and Beachside also publishes its own offers there. For a routine patient who needs none of the restorative or urgent items above, the practical differences are the plan terms, the financing roster, and which front desk you would rather call. Those are real differences, but they are not clinical ones.

Your records stay with the office that made them

The two practices do not share a chart automatically. If you start at one and later move to the other, call the first office and ask it to transfer your records and X-rays. Front desks handle this request routinely. The same caution applies to membership benefits: confirm with both offices before assuming a plan carries over.

If you are still undecided

Call either office and describe what you need. If the other suite is the better fit, ask to be pointed there. There is no wrong first call. The only mistake is assuming the two offices are interchangeable, booking a crown or an emergency visit at Pacifica, and losing a day. If you already know you want one provider for the whole family across the years, including the occasional crown or urgent visit, Beachside's longer list means fewer handoffs. If your needs are preventive and cosmetic, Pacifica's list covers them.

FAQ

Common questions

Which office should I choose?

Start with geography. The four offices sit in three different parts of Southern California, and for most patients the nearest one is the right one.

  • Beachside Dental Group and Pacifica Dental both serve Huntington Beach and coastal Orange County — they share one building at 18800 Main St, each in its own suite.
  • Marina Dentistry serves Marina del Rey and the Westside of Los Angeles — Venice, Playa Vista, Santa Monica, Culver City.
  • Rio Hondo Dental Group serves Downey and southeast LA County — Pico Rivera, Bellflower, Norwalk, South Gate, and is the group's office for Denti-Cal and Medi-Cal patients.

Two useful tie-breakers: the treatment menus differ by office (each location page lists what that office offers), and Rio Hondo is the group's office for Denti-Cal and Medi-Cal patients. If you're still unsure, call whichever office is closest — the front desk will tell you plainly whether another office is a better fit.

Are all four offices the same practice?

They are four separately operated practices that belong to one group, Complete Dental Centers, founded by Dr. Sameer Aljanedi, DDS.

Each office keeps its own name, its own phone line, its own team, and, importantly for your wallet, its own membership plan, financing partners, and insurance arrangements. Those details genuinely differ between offices, which is why this site describes them per office rather than as one blended policy.

This site's job is to help you understand the group and choose the right office. Once you've chosen, that office is your practice — see all four locations or request an appointment and pick your office on the form.

Can I switch from one office to another?

Yes. You can book at whichever of the four offices suits you — patients move between them when they relocate or when a treatment is offered at one office and not another.

Three practical notes before you switch:

  • Each practice operates independently, so your records do not move automatically. Call the office that treated you and ask them to transfer your chart and X-rays.
  • Membership plans are sold per office and generally apply at the office that sold them — confirm with both offices before assuming benefits carry over.
  • Treatment menus differ. Check the new office's location page, or call, to confirm it offers the care you need.

Phone numbers for all four offices are on the contact page.

Do the four offices share my dental records?

Not automatically. Each practice operates independently and keeps its own patient records, so being a patient at one office does not put your chart in front of another.

If you want records sent to a sister office, or to any dentist, call the office that treated you and ask. You have a right to copies of your own dental records, and the front desk handles transfer requests routinely.

All four office phone numbers are on the contact page.
